About

The event will provide a platform for robotic enthusiasts, engineers, and students to demonstrate their ingenuity in designing and programming robots capable of navigating challenging terrains. The track includes a variety of challenges such as inclined planes, obstacles, uneven surfaces, and possibly simulated natural elements like water or sand (An example track is shown in below Figure).

Event Guidelines

  • Track Layout:
The track layout consists of a 3x3 grid.
Each track segment has a width of 30 cm.

  • Obstacles:
Participants will encounter various obstacles along the track such as Stones,Bridges,Speed breakers,Wedges - angled at 30 degrees

  • Track Conditions:
The track will not be straight; it will feature multiple curves from start to end.
All the aforementioned obstacles will be placed strategically along the track.

  • Control Requirements:
Participants must use wireless control for their robots, such as Bluetooth control..

    Judging Criteria and Event Rules

Criteria for judging include speed, accuracy, obstacle negotiation, and overall performance as discussed follows.

  • Robots must operate autonomously with a maximum of two human interventions once they begin safari

  • In any case the track should be completed within 10 minutes.

  • In case of multiple participants complete the track having same number of interventions/ no intervention, the one who completes track in less time will be considered as winner.

  • In case multiple participants complete the track in same duration, participant with less interventions will be declared as winner.

  • In no participant completes the track with the permissible intervention, winning criteria will be based on the distance travelled.

  • If the robot crosses the border, it will be considered under intervention category.

  • Fair Play: Any attempt to tamper with other competitors' robots or engage in unethical practices will result in immediate disqualification.

  • Compliance: Robots must comply with all rules and regulations set forth by the event organizers.
