MATCode – MATLAB coding contest

What we provide:


  • Access to the internet
  • System with MATLAB loaded

    • Note : Participants can bring their own laptop if they wish.


    Guidelines:

    1. The contest is open to any UG student with a knack for programming
    2. There will be a total of 5 questions out of which participant has to solve 4 in the MATLAB.
    3. The time duration will be 1 hour for all the questions.
    4. All questions carry equal marks.
    5. Candidates will be judged on the basis of the accuracy of the programs and its output as well.
    6. Please refrain from discussing strategy during the contest.
    7. Any case of code plagiarism will result in the disqualification of the users from the contest.
    8. There is a partial score for solving a problem partially.
    9. Ties will be broken by the total time for each user in ascending order of time.
    10. Total time is the sum of the time consumed for each problem solved. The time consumed for a solved problem is the time elapsed from the beginning of the contest to the submission of the accepted run plus 5 penalty minutes for every previously rejected run for that problem (Wrong answer, Time limit exceeded, Runtime Error, Compilation Error).
