BVRIT HYDERABAD College of Engineering for Women always aims high not only in providing the best academics but also striving to fulfill the dreams and to increase the confidence levels in students willing to establish their own industry in future. Incubation Centre, established with the above intention came into existence from 21st December 2013 where students were trained from the initial stages of idea generation to the prototype development and later merged into the Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC), established on 8th July 2015 to promote entrepreneurship and to improve the entrepreneurial skills among the students. The main objective of EDC is to create entrepreneurial culture in the institute and foster the growth of innovation and entrepreneurship amongst the students and faculty.
Following Events are undertaken by EDC
- An Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme (EAP) in collaboration with MSME-Development and Facilitation Office, Balanagar, Hyderabad was organised on 24th April 2024.
- FALATHON – LET’S FAIL AND LEARN, (24- Hour Ideathon) was organized on 01-02 December, 2023 exclusively for B.Tech I Year Students.
- A Guest Lecture on “Accelerating Student Entrepreneurs in Electronics, IT and Technology Sectors through Incubation Centers” by Dr. Zahoorullah.S, MD, Founder, Dr Z Labs on 20th November 2023.
- 14 Students and 3 Faculty Members have attended a “Workshop on Design Thinking” by Prof. Mike Testani, Binghamton University at VEDIC, Aziz Nagar on 19-20 October 2023.
- An Event “IGNITE- Innovation in You” event is organized on the occasion of National Innovation Day on 17 October 2023.
- An Internal Evaluation of Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2023 is organised on 23 September 2023.
- An orientation session to 2023 batch first year about the Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) & Vishnu Start-up and Accelerator Centre for women (V-SAW) was conducted on 02 September 2023.
- A Field Visit by the students and faculty members on a session on Entrepreneurship to WE-HUB Hyderabad on 30 August 2023.
- MSME Idea Hackathon 3.0 (Women) Internal Evaluation was organised on 26th August 2023.
- A Guest Lecture on “Business Model Canvas” by Dr. M.Kaushik, CEO, Visva TBI, Bhimavaram was organized on 05 July 2023.
- An Orientation Session on “Innovation and Entrepreneurship Ecosystem” by Dr. M. Kaushik, CEO, Visva TBI, Bhimavaram was organized on 28 June 2023.
- First Faculty-Student Start-up “INVIU SYSTEMS LLP” by BVRIT HYDERABAD College of Engineering for Women was inaugurated on 05 June 2023.
- Idea Pitching Competition – Ideathon was organised by EDC, V-SAW BVRITH on 22nd February 2023.
- Students Showcased the Prototypes and won Rs.10,000 cash prize in the LAB TO MARKET CONCLAVE, An IITM PALS Initiative – held at IIT MADRAS on 18th February 2023.
- Seven (7) students were selected for the Paid Internship with TiE Hyderabad from 19 September to 31st December 2022.
- Idea Pitching Competition for the MSME Idea Hackathon 2.0 organised by EDC, V-SAW BVRITH on 12th December 2022.
- Students Participated in the TRANSFORMERS 2022 an Idea Pitching Competition by TAL SCOUTS International and won First Prize held on 10th December 2022.
- A Guest Lecture on “You are only Entitled to the action, never to its fruits – Learnings from Bhagavad-Gita & Meditation” by Ms. Sailaja Simma, Founder, Omparampara was held on 21-22 November 2022.
- A Guest Lecture on “Creativity & Entrepreneurship in Grassroots” by Brig. P. Ganesam, Founder & CEO, Palle Srujana, was held on 9th November 2022.
- “IGNITE- Innovation in You”- An Idea Pitching competition is organized on 15th October 2022 on the occasion of National Innovation Day.
- Fifty Four (54) IUCEE Students Participated in the “Workshop on Ideation and Design Thinking” at WEHUB in collaboration with EDC,V-SAW BVRITHyderabad on 29th August 2022.
