Dr. M. Sharanya, Professor & HOD of Department of EEE, has teaching and research experience of 25 years. She has acquired her Ph.D degree from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University JNTU, Hyderabad. She has a B. Tech degree in EEE and M. Tech in Power Electronics and Electrical Drives from JNTUH.

She has published more than 40 research papers in reputed international journals and conferences. She has attended and conducted various workshops/seminars/conferences/FDPs. She has published 4 patents, one book and 3 book chapters.

Her areas of interest include Power Electronics, Power Quality, Renewable Energy, and Electric Vehicles. She has organized international conferences, FDPs, and workshops and strengthened industry-institute interaction; collaborations.

She is a recipient of award for Outstanding Contribution in Education Services at India Education Conclave 2024, IRSD DISTINGUISHED ACADEMIC LEADER AWARD in 2024, Elite Teacher award from I2OR National awards 2021, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Gold Medal award for the year 2019, Best researcher award in 2018 from IDMAS Learning Center, Malaysia. She is a Life Member of professional bodies like ISTE, IEI and IETE.
